Summer Performance Workshop/Flex Classes Announced
Our 2010 Summer Performance Workshop/Flex classes have been announced and will take place between June 21st - July 30th. The schedule is available here. You can contact us anytime if you would like to enroll. We hope to dance with you this Summer.
"Thumbelina" will be performed in Downtown Campbell @ The Community Center on May 15th & 16th. Come See Our First Feature Length Ballet!!
We graciously invite you to our official debut performance featuring the wonderful dancers from The Academy of Classical Ballet - CALIFORNIA. "Thumbelina" is a beloved story by the late and great, Hans Christian Andersen that we have thoughtfully adapted into a feature-length ballet. The Academy can't wait to put on this great performance for you, as our dancers have worked hard to make this performance truly special. We hope to see you there.
When: May 15th (2pm & 7pm) & 16th (1pm & 6pm) - That's four amazing shows!
Where: The Campbell Community Center, 1. W Campbell Avenue - Building N-76
How Much?: Only $7 dollars, plus a nominal service charge of a $1.17. (That's about a large coffee these days.)

Who is AOCB -California and why should I come to your show?: That's easy! It's a tremendous bang for your buck, given that the tickets are relatively cheap and you will be supporting the local arts community - while being thoroughly entertained. Dance Injury Prevention lecture on January 29th
On January 29th, Ariel Lehaitre
will give a dance injury prevention lecture in Studio X. Ariel's resume is extensive as both a dancer and a Rehabilition Pilates instructor. Here is more information about the lecture and we hope you can make it. Everyone is invited to attend. Please contact the Academy to reserve your spot today.

Congratulations to Gabbie De Leon for winning the All-Around state title at the 2009 NorCal State Gymnastics Championships! She has been ranked number one in the Child E Division. Gabbie has won the All-Around, Beam, and Floor state championship titles in back-to-back seasons. We are so proud of Gabbie and happy to be a part of her success.

Ballet & Pointe Fitness Lecture/Demonstration
We're pleased to announce that on Tuesday, July 21st, Dr. Chris Chung M.D., and Kim Gardner, Dance Therapist, Pilates Instructor, will be giving a lecture/demonstration about ballet and dancing on pointe. The discussion will include physical issues
affecting pointe readiness (growth spurts and the closing of growth plates, joint flexibility
and stability). Students will be lead through some exercises to address these issues. Here is the invite that contains some more information about the lecture. We look forward to seeing you there!
