Conveniently located in downtown Campbell, California - The Academy of Classical Ballet offers a professional, disciplined, and genuinely rewarding approach to classical ballet for dancers of all ages and skill levels. At the Academy, ballet is not just the main focus - it's the only focus. While many dance schools treat classical ballet as a supplement to other forms of dance, The Academy of Classical Ballet-CALIFORNIA believes that classical ballet training is the proper foundation to build upon. In other words, ballet isn't simply a mere afterthought at our Academy - it's truly a must for any successful dance student.

The Academy offers a unique, nurturing, and growth-oriented set of programs that are designed to fit the needs of all aspiring dancers, complete with a reasonable pricing structure and referral incentives for its students. The Academy of Classical Ballet-CALIFORNIA offers by far, the most intensive ballet training in the South Bay Area, with experience that stems from a history of over 20 years within the ballet industry. Our Background Of Over 20 Years In the Ballet World


The Academy of Classical Ballet-CALIFORNIA was founded in 2008 by the former Associate Director of the highly successful Los Gatos Ballet, Crystal Petzel. Her long running reputation in the ballet community, coupled with her strict adherence to the teachings of classical ballet, while still being able to offer a fun, positive atmosphere, high-energy level, and measurable results for her students. It is something truly unique in today's dance industry.

Many of Crystal's past students have gone on to dance with prestigious companies and Universities such as, The San Francisco Ballet, Boston Conservatory, not to mention producing several finalists' on the hit FOX network show "So You Think You Dance".

The training offered by the Academy ranges from pre-ballet to the professional level. All ages and backgrounds are welcomed and training varies from group classes, custom-tailored private lessons, on-site training for synchronized swimmers, competitive dancers, and athletes.

Ms. Crystal is more than just a ballet teacher to me; she is a mentor. Her knowledge and instruction have not only taught me discipline and technique, but have motivated me to become an artist of passion, courage, and integrity. She has given me such a strong foundation that I dedicate my development as a young dancer to her. Now as I am in pursuit in becoming a professional dancer, Ms. Crystal's encouragement still guides me in pursuit of my dreams.
